Event Terms & Conditions

Eligibility – Events are 18+ only. You may be asked for valid photo ID. Entry is subject to venue capacity and the venue’s conditions of entry.

Tickets – Pilot tests may be free; later events may be ticketed. Tickets are non-transferable, may require ID verification, and are non-refundable except as required by Australian Consumer Law.

Conduct – Entry requires compliance with the Code of Conduct. Non-compliance will result in removal without refund.

Event Changes & Cancellations – GoBanter may alter, reschedule, or cancel events at its discretion. If cancellation occurs, refunds will be issued automatically for paid tickets via the ticketing platform. GoBanter is not responsible for costs incurred by attendees due to rescheduling or cancellation (e.g. travel or accommodation).

Liability – You attend at your own risk. GoBanter and venue partners are not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage except as required by law. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Damage to Venue or Property – Attendees are personally responsible for any damage they cause to the hosting venue, its property, or third-party property present at the event (including but not limited to artwork, fixtures, furniture, or equipment). If such damage occurs, you agree to cover the reasonable cost of repair or replacement. GoBanter accepts no liability for damage caused by attendees. Attendees are responsible for their own actions at the event. If an attendee causes injury, loss, or damage, they are liable for the costs, and GoBanter will not be held responsible for claims arising from those actions.

Competitions & Promotions – Separate rules may apply to giveaways, raffles, or contests held at events. Participation in competitions or promotions is optional and may be subject to separate terms provided at the time.

Privacy, Media, Research & Promotional Use

Pilot Test Research – During pilot events, GoBanter may collect feedback, survey responses, and recordings (photos, video, audio, interviews) to evaluate and improve the GoBanter platform. Participants may be asked for their name and age but may elect to remain anonymous. Research findings may be summarised in accelerator programs, investor materials, or validation reports, but your identity will not be disclosed without consent.

Marketing & Promotion – GoBanter may also capture and use event media (photos, video, testimonials) for promotional purposes, including our website, social media, and marketing campaigns.

Opt-Out – If you prefer not to appear in promotional material, please notify staff at check-in. We will provide a discreet opt-out method (e.g., wristband, media-free zone) to respect your choice. Anonymised research data from pilot events may still be included even if you opt out of marketing use.

Data Handling & Security – GoBanter stores personal data securely using trusted cloud services. Access is limited to authorised staff only. We retain data only as long as necessary for running events, research validation, or legal compliance, after which it is deleted or anonymised. You may request access to or deletion of your personal data at any time.

Privacy Law Compliance – GoBanter complies with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and associated Australian Privacy Principles in the collection and handling of personal information.

Third-Party Platforms – GoBanter may use third-party services (e.g., ticketing platforms, survey tools, cloud storage) to administer events. These providers may have their own privacy terms, and by registering you also agree to their terms.

Your Rights – You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or opt out of marketing emails, by contacting us.
